Labor Department Staff Returns to Office at Full Capacity

The U.S. Labor Department’s roughly 15,000-member workforce is officially back in the office, with the agency now permitting its staffers across the U.S. to return at full capacity.

The agency entered “Phase 3" of its return to office plan on Monday, which permits reentry for any position based on the agency’s determination that it may be performed on-site, “up to 100% capacity.”

The DOL had delayed its return date multiple times amid fluctuating case rates across the U.S. caused by Covid-19 variants over the past several months. Labor initially considered bringing workers back in full by Nov. 8, 2021.
