Hospital Prevails in Bias Suit Over Covid-19 Vaccine Mandate

MetroHealth System defeated allegations Friday that it discriminated against a former employee when it rejected his request for a religious exemption from its Covid-19 vaccine requirement, according to a Friday federal court opinion.

MetroHealth, which operates as a Cuyahoga County-owned hospital, initially beat the proposed class action in 2023 when the US District Court for the Northern District of Ohio granted its request for dismissal.
