MetroHealth System won its motion to dismiss former and current employees’ religious discrimination suit over its Covid-19 vaccination policies, with a ruling by a federal judge.
Frank Savel and 45 others filed a class action against the public healthcare system in the US District Court for the District of Ohio. They argued that during Fall 2021 and Spring 2022, MetroHealth adopted mandatory workplace COVID-19 vaccination policies that discriminated against their religious beliefs and created a hostile work environment.
