Health Plan Consultant Requests That Court Drop Drug Rebate Suit

A health insurance broker who sued his former firm for allegedly hiding prescription drug rebates from clients moved to drop his case on Monday.

Alan Wiederhold sued Evolution Healthcare, part of AssuredPartners, Inc., in Maryland state court in February, alleging CEO Brenndan Mohler fired him after he began sharing rebate revenue with clients. AssuredPartners and EVHC denied the allegations, and moved the case to the US District Court for the District of Maryland in March.
