Hartford Unit Sues Eye Doctor Over Web Tracker Litigation

A Hartford Insurance Group Inc. unit is suing an Illinois eye doctor over coverage for litigation against the clinic alleging the use of “pixel-tracking” technologies on its website.

A proposed class action against Morfoot Family Eye Care LLC isn’t covered under its insurance policies, Hartford Underwriters Insurance Co. said in a Thursday complaint in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
