The George Washington University Hospital violated federal labor law numerous times while negotiating a new contract with the union representing some of its staff, the National Labor Relations Board ruled.
In its decision Wednesday, two of the board’s Democratic members held that the hospital unilaterally withdrew its recognition of a Service Employees International Union local and changed workplace rules without fully bargaining, in violation of the National Labor Relations Act.
