Federal Contractor Watchdog Loses Another Sentry (1)

One of the Labor Department’s federal contractor watchdog office’s most contentious regional directors is leaving her post, Janette Wipper confirms to Bloomberg Law.

Wipper has been appointed chief counsel of the California Department of Fair Employment Housing, Gov. Edmund G. Brown Jr. (D) announced May 1.

She is the third senior career official to leave the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs in the past month.

The OFCCP departures come on the heels of a recent decision to centralize some audit procedures and rumors that the office is on the verge of amending or wholesale rescinding a hallmark pay-equity directive ...
