EEOC Can’t Redo Pregnancy Rule Order After Standing Decision (1)

A Louisiana federal judge declined to revisit an earlier decision blocking enforcement of the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s new rule that requires workplace accommodations for abortions against a group of Catholic organizations and two states.

Judge David C. Joseph of the US District Court for the Western District of Louisiana on Tuesday dismissed the EEOC’s argument that the US Supreme Court’s recent Murthy v. Missouri decision concerning federal efforts to curb social media misinformation warrants him to reconsider a June preliminary injunction order that partially blocked the rule.
