The US Supreme Court’s recent decision on federal efforts to curb social media misinformation warrants revisiting an earlier district court ruling partially blocking EEOC pregnancy accommodation regulations that also cover accommodations for abortions, the agency argued.
Judge David C. Joseph of the US District Court for the Western District of Louisiana in June issued a preliminary injunction barring the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission from enforcing the abortion accommodation mandate against the plaintiffs, a group of Catholic organizations led by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops and the states of Louisiana and Mississippi.
