Dollar General Fined Nearly $342,000 Over Safety Violations

OSHA issued Dollar General Corp. $341,842 in proposed penalties and citations for four repeated alleged safety violations after an inspection of a Columbus, Ohio, store operated by DolGen Midwest LLC.

The Labor Department’s Occupational Health and Safety Administration said Tuesday that inspectors found merchandise blocking storeroom exits, excessive clutter and unsanitary conditions, and unmarked emergency exits in the Dollar General’s storeroom.

Earlier this month, Dollar General was hit with $2.8 million in proposed penalties after inspectors found workplace safety violations in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia stores.
