DOL Extends Comment Period on Workforce Shortages in Tech, AI

The US Department of Labor is extending through May 13 a public comment period on its plan to update the list of occupations that qualify for a streamlined path to green cards.

DOL in December asked for input from employers and other interested parties on revisions to the list of Schedule A occupations. Schedule A includes fields in which the government already recognizes that employers face labor shortages, and so they aren’t required to test the labor market before hiring foreign talent to fill specific positions.
