The director of the Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs will soon exit her post to begin work as a high-ranking EEOC attorney.
Catherine Eschbach told OFCCP staff in a message Friday she will transition into the role of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission principal deputy general counsel, according to a copy of her email viewed by Bloomberg Law.
Eschbach was appointed to lead the OFCCP in March, overseeing the Trump administration’s moves to gut its power and slash its staff, as part of its plan to ultimately eliminate the office entirely.
