The Labor Department is asking the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit to review a Texas court ruling that blocked parts of its Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rule from applying to suppliers and truck drivers.
On Thursday, attorneys for the DOL appealed a June preliminary injunction from the Northern District of Texas that froze parts of the rule expanding its coverage and a provision that applies prevailing wages to contracts that are silent on such requirements.
