Construction Contractors on Target for Increase in DOL Audits

The Department of Labor’s contractor watchdog will boost its focus on construction companies as the government prepares to dole out billions of dollars in contracts funded in the bipartisan infrastructure law passed last year.

The Office of Federal Contractor Compliance Programs already has scheduled 100 compliance audits of the 400 construction contractors selected for those reviews last September, OFCCP Director Jenny Yang said in prepared remarks ahead of a House subcommittee hearing Wednesday. The agency plans to schedule another 100 audits by the end of the fiscal year, she said.
