The Biden administration has renominated four picks for U.S. Department of Labor leadership positions who failed to win floor time in the Senate last year, including David Weil to be the nation’s top wage-hour regulator.
The White House announced Tuesday the renomination of Weil along with Lisa Gomez to lead the Employee Benefits Security Administration, José Javier Rodríguez for the post of assistant secretary for employment and training, and Elizabeth Watson to serve as DOL’s assistant secretary for congressional and intergovernmental affairs. Susan Harthill was also renominated for the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
