Walmart Wins Ninth Circuit Review of Wage Class Action

Walmart Inc. won Ninth Circuit review May 31 of class certification of worker allegations that it used the wrong legal name on wage statements in violation of California law.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit issued an order March 20 agreeing to review another portion of the suit, Mays v. Walmart, that wasn’t certified for class status. Those claims alleged the company failed to pay workers final wages on time when they were terminated.
