Walgreens Consumer Drops Appeal in Infant Pain Relief Price Suit

A Walgreen Co. consumer has voluntarily dismissed his appeal seeking to reinstate a proposed class suit in California alleging the pharmacy chain tricks parents into believing only an expensive “infants” acetaminophen product is safe for very young children, court filings show.

Cameron Eidmann alleged Walgreens misled customers into believing its private-label product, which costs four times more than the “children’s version,” is specially formulated for infants when both have the same concentration of active ingredient.
