Post Cereal Consumers Urge Final OK for $15 Million Label Deal

A $15 million settlement resolving allegations that Post Foods LLC deceptively portrayed certain cereals as healthy despite their sugar content achieved excellent benefits for the class and should be finally approved, consumers told a California federal judge.

Assuming approval of the requested administration costs, attorneys’ fees, and service awards, class claimants will divide the remaining $8.47 million for an average refund of approximately $25.28 each, according to a filing Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
