Marriott International Inc. shortchanged “hundreds, if not thousands” of call center employees by failing to compensate them for work performed outside their shifts, according to a proposed class and collective action.
The suit was filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, where Marriott is headquartered, by Michelle Barnes and Paige Stroman, two Texas-based former call center employees.
This is just the latest lawsuit filed against Marriott by call center workers pursuing unpaid overtime for off-the-clock work. In July, another call center worker filed similar claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act and Texas law. About ...
