Apple Watch Suit Dismissed Tying Battery Flaw to Cracked Screen

A woman alleging Apple Inc. sold defective smart watches has voluntarily dismissed her claims, according to a filing Wednesday in federal court in New Jersey.

Gina Priano-Keyser sued Apple in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Her proposed class complaint alleged the watches have a flaw that makes the lithium-ion battery to swell, causing the screen to break or detach from the watch body.

Priano-Keyser dismissed her claims with prejudice. She and Apple will bear their own attorneys’ fees and costs, the filing said. No further information was available.
