California lawmakers wrapped up their work for the year on Saturday, ending an extraordinary session in which the legislature called a special election to pass a rewrite of the state’s congressional map.
Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) has until Oct. 13 to sign his chosen legislation. But even as we wait, some clearly have more reason to celebrate than others.
