  • Three former lieutenants to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton are representing Elon Musk’s X Corp., formerly known as Twitter, in its suit against Media Matters for America. Musk’s lawyers in the suit include former state solicitor general Judd Stone and former assistant attorney general Christopher Hilton, both with Stone Hilton in Austin, Texas, and former assistant solicitor general John Sullivan with S|L Law in Cedar Hill, Texas, according to the federal court complaint filed in Fort Worth, Texas.   • Paul Hastings has been selected to be counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of WeWork Inc. and its more than 500 affiliates that have filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Partners Kris Hansen, Gabe Sasson, Frank Merola, and Sayan Bhattacharyya will lead the financial restructuring team. (Paul Hastings)
  • The rise of private equity has spurred what could be a “transformative chapter” for the legal scene in the UK’s East Midlands region north of London. One law firm funded by private equity interests last year, Nelsons, has been on a buying spree, announcing the acquisitions of firms in Leicester and Nottingham in the last month. (The Lawyer)
