Welcome to Bloomberg Law’s Wake Up Call, a daily rundown of the top news for lawyers, law firms, and in-house counsel.

  • Morrison Foerster agreed to a settlement with the Good Law Project and a trans man who threatened legal action for discrimination. The Good Law Project argued the firm’s decision earlier this year to reverse an agreement to represent a trans man amounted to unlawful discrimination. The firm will pay the full £25,000 sought in damages—plus the claimants’ legal costs—but without admitting liability. (Non-Billable)
  • Former US Attorney Rachael Rollins agreed to be publicly reprimanded by state bar regulators, two years after she resigned ahead of the release of two federal government watchdog reports that found she engaged in multiple ethics violations. Rollins acknowledged that she improperly disclosed to a Boston Herald reporter confidential information concerning a potential investigation into the acting Suffolk County district attorney during an election. • Reed Smith signed a 12-year lease for a new office in Atlanta. The 34,065-square-foot office will be located on the 11th floor of Ten Twenty Spring, a new mixed-use development in Midtown Atlanta. Since announcing its Atlanta office in January, the firm has been operating out of temporary space. (citybiz)
