  • Ex-Big Law attorney Joshua Domb in London, “driven by a vision to make a tangible impact” in the fight against climate change, in March opened Gen-R Law, an ESG-focused firm that “aims to bridge a gap in the legal sector.” Domb, who previously worked as an associate in the UK offices of McDermott Will & Emery, Paul Hastings, and DLA Piper, according to his LinkedIn page, created a firm that donates 10% of its profits to environmental causes, and commits to pro bono work with a focus on empowering young people in the climate space.   • A New Orleans law firm payroll manager who stole more than $2.5 million from her firm, Aaron & Gianna, has pleaded guilty to wire fraud in federal court. Shavonda Chambers admitted to funneling reimbursements from the firm through payroll transfers to her personal accounts—which started at $10,500 per paycheck and rose after the pandemic—more than 140 times from 2017-2023.   • Lawyers and lobbyists are among the top 10 “donor industries” to President Joe Biden’s and former President Donald Trump’s presidential campaigns, according to a review of Federal Election Commission data. Big Law donors contributed to Trump’s campaign and pro-Trump PACs include partners from Latham & Watkins; McGuireWoods; Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld; Akerman; and Holland & Hart. (Law.com)
