  • A “Magic Circle” law firm, Freshfields, is offering resilience training to Gen Z students to give them insight into life at the firm. Freshfields has hosted a series of workshops at some of Britain’s leading universities on how prospective lawyers can deal with the stresses of working in the city and “build key resilience skills,” including how to stay “composed” when receiving harsh feedback from bosses. • Attorney Virginia Shogren is appealing her law license suspension to the Washington State Bar Association’s disciplinary board. After the 2020 election, Shogren represented a group trying to block illegal residents from voting. The judge in that case, Washington Supreme Court Commissioner Michael Johnston, found Shogren filed a frivolous lawsuit and imposed sanctions. AGO Solicitor General Noah Purcell then filed a bar complaint with the WSBA against Shogren. The disciplinary board then charged Shogren with pursuing a frivolous action and failing to comply with the sanctions. (The Center Square)
