Selendy Gay is one of the latest litigation boutiques to give associates bonuses that blow past the scale set by Big Law firms.

The litigation boutique, founded 2018 in New York, is giving its associates bonuses between $17,250 and $132,250, according to a memo obtained by Bloomberg Law. The firm is also matching Big Law’s special bonus offerings between $6,000 to $25,000.

Last year, the firm gave its associates up to $157,250. Selendy Gay has 75 associates, according to the firm.

The firm’s bonus announcement follows similar moves by other litigation-focused boutiques. Dunn Isaacson Rhee said it would hand out extra payments of up to $175,000.

Manhattan boutique Elsberg Baker Maruri, launched by David Elsberg, a former name partner at Selendy Gay, offered its associates as much as $226,250, according to a memo viewed by Bloomberg Law.

Selendy Gay’s founding partner Faith Gay was recently tapped to represent Andrew Weissmann in a politically-tinged defamation suit by former Trump White House lawyer Stefan Passantino. The firm’s past clients include various union groups for teachers and other professions. Philippe and Jennifer Selendy are also name partners at the firm.
