RedBird Hires NFL’s Top Media Lawyer as First Legal Chief (2)

RedBird Capital Partners LLC, an investment firm led by former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. banker Gerry Cardinale, has hired the National Football League’s lead media lawyer Janet Nova as a partner and general counsel.

Nova’s new role was confirmed by RedBird, which through a spokesman said she will be the privately held firm’s first legal chief. Her move comes after Nova recently oversaw the NFL’s Sunday Ticket antitrust litigation, which resulted in a federal judge dismissing a $4.7 billion jury award in August. Nova left the New York-based league a few weeks later.
