Hartford, Tech Consulting Firm Settle Suit Over Hack Charges

A Hartford Insurance Group Inc. unit and a technology consulting firm agreed to settle remaining claims in a coverage dispute related to expenses incurred as a result of a hack.

Advaiya Solutions Inc. and Hartford Fire Insurance Co. notified the US District Court for the Western District of Washington of their settlement on Tuesday.

• The tech consultant sued the carrier in state court in 2023. The federal district court granted partial summary judgment to Advaiya in September 2024, ruling that Hartford must cover legal defense costs the company incurred dealing with the charges.
