The US Patent and Trademark Office has relaunched a pilot program to expedite its examination of patent applications for inventions that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The Climate Change Mitigation Pilot Program began accepting petitions for the program June 3 and will continue either until June 5, 2023, or until the USPTO grants 1,000 petitions.
