Former Endo International Plc officers and directors moved to throw out a bankruptcy trustee’s lawsuit accusing them of sinking the company’s fortunes, calling it “a thinly veiled attempt to extract money from insurance policies.”
Legal claims over the pharmaceutical company’s history of marketing and selling prescription opioids, particularly Opana ER, aren’t viable or soundly alleged, ex-CEO Rajiv De Silva and a group of 14 former Endo board members told the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York in a filing Monday.
