Fiber network provider Bluebird MidWest LLC won a bid to acquire nearly all of bankrupt Everstream Solutions LLC’s assets for $384.6 million, plus certain assumed liabilities.
Bluebird outbid now-backup bidder Metro Everstream Bidco, which offered $366 million plus liabilities, according to a Thursday notice filed in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Bluebird had initially submitted a $285 million stalking horse bid at the outset of the bankruptcy.
The deal awaits court approval, with a sale hearing set for Aug. 1. Objections are due by July 28.
