Experian Must Face Biden-Era Suit Over Consumer Data Disputes

An Experian Plc unit lost its bid to shake a Biden-era lawsuit claiming the credit reporting giant failed to ensure the accuracy and completeness of information on consumers supplied by companies.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau sufficiently alleged that Experian Information Solutions Inc. violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act by improperly collecting information from customers disputing items on their credit reports and by failing to send complete dispute records to consumer data furnishers, Judge Michelle Williams Court of the US District Court for the Central District of California said in a Monday ruling.
