Zach Cohen is a Congress reporter for Bloomberg Tax, where he covered drafting of Republicans’ multi-trillion-dollar tax-and-spending cuts law and confirmation of Treasury Department nominees. He has over a decade of experience covering fiscal policy and federal politics for Bloomberg Government and National Journal.
He appears frequently on Bloomberg TV and Radio, SiriusXM, and C-SPAN to offer reporting and analysis from Capitol Hill, and his work has been published by The Washington Post and The Atlantic.
He also occasionally lectures on American politics and governance at George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management. His work has garnered multiple awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, including Dateline Awards for his coverage of the Senate. Zach graduated with honors from American University, where he served as editor-in-chief of the student-run newspaper The Eagle.
