Lina Khan’s Court Cases Meet FTC Chair Vowing to Reshape Agenda

Andrew Ferguson had been FTC chairman for a day when an oil executive sued the agency, using Ferguson’s past statements as a commissioner to support his effort to undo a settlement.

Days earlier, Deere & Co. seized on Ferguson’s vote, opposing a monopoly lawsuit against the tractor giant, to push back on the FTC’s claims. A major US alcohol distributor then deployed the same tactic as it fought to get rid of a case brought in the final weeks of the Biden administration.
