Wynn Secures Win Over Racketeering Suit That Alleged Mob Ties

Billionaire gambling magnate Steve Wynn persuaded a federal appeals court to reject claims that the gaming giant he founded and led for nearly two decades, Wynn Resorts Ltd., worked with Mafia-linked felons to win the sole Boston-area casino license through bribery and fraud.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit upheld a ruling dismissing the lawsuit by Sterling Suffolk Racecourse LLC, which owned the site where it said Mohegan Sun would have built a casino if not for the success of Wynn’s alleged racketeering scheme.
