White Sox Ticket Scheme Broker Appeals Wire Fraud Conviction

A Chicago ticket broker appealed his conviction and 18-month prison sentence on charges of defrauding the White Sox baseball team of more than $1.2 million in stolen tickets.

Defendant Bruce Lee filed a notice of appeal Thursday in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Lee, the owner of Great Tickets Inc., was found guilty by a jury Oct. 6, 2021, of 11 counts of wire fraud, stemming from a scheme involving two White Sox employees who worked in the ticketing office at the ballpark, Guaranteed Rate Field.
