Manhattan’s top federal prosecutor issued a blunt warning to banks and financial firms: he’s watching you.

“The Southern District of New York is going to be relentless in rooting out corruption in our financial markets,” Manhattan U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said at a press conference Tuesday announcing charges against three former Allianz Global Investors US fund managers and a guilty plea by the firm itself. AGI also agreed to pay $5.8 billion in fines and restitution.
