US Sanctions Wife of Brazil Justice After Bolsonaro Verdict (3)

The US Treasury sanctioned the wife of Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes under the Magnitsky Act, two months after targeting Moraes himself. The nation’s assets extended losses after the announcement.

The Treasury’s notice, published Monday, added Viviane Barci de Moraes and LEX – Instituto de Estudos Juridicos LTDA, the company she owns with the couple’s three children.
