Eight people connected to pro-Palestinian advocacy at the University of Michigan were charged with threatening campus leaders, businesses and a Jewish organization as part of a coordinated campaign to force the school to sever ties to Israel.
Seven were arrested Wednesday, and an eighth remains at large, the Federal Bureau of Investigation said. The defendants face 10 counts including conspiracy to transmit threats in interstate commerce, witness tampering and destruction of property to prevent seizure, according to the federal indictment covering events from October 2023 to April 2025.
