Uber Ex-Security Chief Faces Additional Charges (Correct)

Uber Technologies Inc.’s former chief security officer Joseph Sullivan faces a new wire fraud charges in addition to earlier charges related to covering up a 2016 data breach that compromised the personal information of 57 million drivers and users.

A superseding indictment handed down Wednesday describes how Sullivan allegedly orchestrated the disbursement of a six-figure payment to two hackers in exchange for their silence about the breach, the Justice Department said in a statement.
