The Trump administration sued the City of Boston over its sanctuary city policy Thursday, seeking to strike down a local law that limits cooperation with federal immigration efforts.
“Cities cannot obstruct the Federal Government from enforcing immigration laws,” the federal government wrote in the lawsuit filed in Boston federal court. “When that occurs, a city breaks the law. The City of Boston is doing just that.”
