Top Swiss Banks, Police Form Alliance to Better Spot Dirty Money

Swiss federal police and 12 banks have begun holding regular meetings on how to better spot money laundering and terrorism financing in Switzerland as the country tries to shake off its reputation as a hub for illicit money.

The banks include Julius Baer Group Ltd, Vontobel Holding AG, HSBC Private Bank Suisse SA and Banque Lombard Odier & Cie SA as well as UBS Group AG, Societe Generale SA and Deutsche Bank AG, Fedpol said in a statement on Friday.
