Joseth “Joe” Limon pleaded guilty to not reporting and paying over $8.8 million in employment taxes that his company withheld from employees’ paychecks from 2013 through 2018, the Justice Department announced Tuesday.
According to the DOJ, Limon owned and operated Platinum Employment Group, a company that supplied laborers to businesses in the Houston area. From 2013 through 2018, Platinum did not file employment tax returns, and, according to its payroll records, did not pay more than $8.8 million in employment taxes.
