A Southern California man pleaded guilty July 11 for his role in a fraudulent mortgage modification scheme that caused more than 1,500 victims to lose about $9 million (United States v. D’Antonio, C.D. Cal., 8:13-cr-00208-DOC, guilty plea 7/5/16).
Charles Wayne Farris, who served as the sales manager of the scheme, admitted he helped induce homeowners to pay between $3,500 and $5,500 for the services of the Rodis Law Group (RLG) and its successor, America’s Law Group (ALG).
