Russian Spy Ring Run by Ex-Wirecard COO Convicted of Spying

Three Bulgarian nationals were found guilty of spying for Russia in the UK as part of a sophisticated international espionage ring run by the fugitive ex-Wirecard chief operating officer.

A London jury convicted Katrin Ivanova, Vanya Gaberova, and Tihomir Ivanov Ivanchev on charges of conspiring to collect sensitive information useful to Russia between 2020 and 2023 by a London jury on Friday. Three others Orlin Roussev, Bizer Dzhambazov and Ivan Iliev Stoyanov previously pleaded guilty to espionage charges.
