Ramey Seeks Respite From Sanctions Order at Federal Circuit (2)

Prolific plaintiff-side patent attorney William “Bill” P. Ramey III asked the Federal Circuit to stop a California federal judge from enforcing sanctions against him for filing an allegedly frivolous lawsuit and practicing law in the state on multiple occasions without court approval.

Ramey urged the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on April 12 to halt the sanctions, which he called “severe, unwarranted, and likely, career ending,” while an appeal he filed just days earlier is pending.
