Rabobank Says Dutch Public Prosecutor’s AML Probe to Go to Court

Rabobank understands the Dutch Public Prosecutor will present a case to court, following an investigation into the bank in connection with violations of the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing Act (Wwft), the Dutch bank said in a statement.

  • Rabobank says it is fully cooperating with probe and has discussed an out-of-court settlement with public prosecutor
  • However, the bank says “there is such a difference of opinion regarding a settlement that the parties have not reached an agreement at this time”
