Police Who Shot Suspect in 7-Eleven Immune From Suit

Police violated the Fourth Amendment rights of a suspect they shot and killed, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit said June 11.

The officers are nevertheless immune from the civil rights suit against them, the opinion by Judge Donald W. Molloy, sitting by designation, said.

Gerritt Vos was in a 7-Eleven brandishing a pair of scissors and yelling “kill me.” He also pretended he had a gun.
