Pentagon Paid More Than $1 Trillion To Firms Involved in Fraudulent Conduct

A Department of Defense report requested by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) found the U.S. military paid $1.1 trillion over ten years to defense contractors that either were convicted of fraud or settled fraud cases with the federal government.

“The ugly truth is that virtually all of the major defense contractors in this country for years have been engaged in systematic fraudulent behavior, while receiving hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayer money.”
