Ohio Man Pleads Guilty to Embezzling $26 Million From Employer

Yi He has pleaded guilty in US District Court to embezzling $26.5 million from his Columbus, Ohio, employer, according to a Wednesday news release.

He admitted to committing wire fraud and filing a false tax return and will pay more than $27 million in restitution as well as forfeit two homes in Reynoldsburg and one home in Columbus.

He was solely responsible for payroll and payroll tax-related duties for a furniture company that provides furniture to retailers like Wayfair, Overstock, Kohls, Walmart, and Ashley, as well as helped oversee an employee incentive LLC that rewarded company employees with 10 or ...
